Vietnamiese BBQ Pork Chops
I'm crazy about Asian Food. I could eat it every single day and never get sick of it. The flavors never disappoint. One of my favorite things to order in a Vietnamiese restaurant are the BBQ pork chops. Sweet and salty goodness
This is a great marinade when grilling any type of meat.
Marinade:
1small shallot, chopped fine1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup fish sauce (Asian section of the grocery store)
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons avacado oil
1 teaspoon ground black pepper.
Lime halves for serving
4 1" thick bone in pork chops
Salt
In a small bowl, whisk together all of the marinade ingredients. Pour the marinade into a large ziplock bag along with the meat. Seal the bag and refrigerate overnight.
Remove the chops from the marinade and place on a prepared grill. Pour the marinade into a small sauce pan and set aside.
Season the chops with a little salt. Grill the chops over medium high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
While the meat is resting, place the marinade on the stove over medium high heat. Bring to a boil and reduce to 1/4 cup.
Serve the chops with the reduced marinade and limes.
These chops are especially good with a side of rice and coleslaw.
