I have no idea where I got this recipe. I just know my famiy likes it and it's easy to prepare.
2 pounds sirloin tips, cubed
1 small onion chopped
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 (10.5 oz) can golden mushroom soup
1 (10.5 oz) can beef broth
1 cup burgundy wine
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon marjoram
1 tablespoon grape jelly
In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter and sauté onion and mushrooms until tender. Transfer onions and mushrooms to the crock pot. Return the skillet to the heat. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil to the skillet and sear beef on all sides. Transfer the beef to the crock pot. Add the soups, wine, jelly and herbs. Cover, and cook for 4 hours or until beef is tender.
Serve over egg noodles.
